About GearCheck.pro
Last updated: April 2026
What We Do
GearCheck.pro is an independent reference site for competitive gaming peripherals. We compile and verify hardware specifications, pro player gear settings, and sensor data so you can make informed gear decisions without digging through dozens of sources.
Our tools — eDPI calculator, sensitivity converter, and pro eDPI distribution chart — are built around the same data, giving you an instant, numbers-first picture of what the top players actually use.
Data Sources
Mouse specifications (weight, shape, sensor, connectivity, dimensions) are sourced from:
- Official manufacturer product pages and spec sheets
- Verified third-party measurements from established hardware review sites
- Our own cross-reference checks for accuracy
Pro player settings (in-game sensitivity, DPI, polling rate) are sourced from:
- Official team announcements and player stream disclosures
- Reputable esports gear databases (cross-verified across sources)
- Tournament observer footage when publicly available
Update Policy
We update mouse specs when manufacturers release new firmware, revise their official documentation, or issue corrections. Pro player settings are updated when a player publicly discloses a change — typically through their own stream, official social channels, or team announcements.
Each page displays a "Last updated" date so you can judge the freshness of the data yourself. If you spot an error or outdated information, please let us know.
Editorial Independence
GearCheck.pro is operated independently. We do not accept payments from manufacturers to alter specifications, rankings, or editorial conclusions. Our comparisons reflect the data — not commercial relationships.
Some pages contain affiliate links. When you click a link and purchase a product, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence which products we feature or how we describe them.
Open Data
We believe esports gear data should be freely accessible. Our pro player dataset (50+ professionals across CS2, Valorant, Apex Legends, and Fortnite) is available for download and research use under the Creative Commons CC-BY license. See the Reports section for the 2026 Esports Pro Gear Report and raw data exports.
