🇨🇦 Tyson “TenZ” Ngo is one of the most recognized names in professional Valorant. The Canadian duelist plays for Sentinels and is known for his explosive mechanical skill and unconventional aim style. TenZ was among the first professional CS:GO players to transition to Valorant, and his influence on the game’s meta — particularly around aggressive entry fragging — has been significant.

Current Mouse: Finalmouse Starlight-12 Poseidon

TenZ uses the Finalmouse Starlight-12 Poseidon, the lightest wireless gaming mouse on the market at 42g. Built from magnesium alloy, the Starlight-12 is a limited-availability mouse that has become synonymous with Valorant’s pro scene. TenZ’s use of this mouse helped bring significant mainstream attention to Finalmouse as a brand.

The Starlight-12’s compact dimensions (116mm × 57mm × 38mm) suit TenZ’s smaller-to-medium hand size. Its low weight is ideal for the fast wrist movements and sweeping flicks that characterize TenZ’s duelist playstyle.

In-Game Settings Breakdown

TenZ’s Valorant settings reflect a high-DPI, low-sensitivity approach that is distinct from the CS2 standard:

An eDPI of 326 is extremely low — one of the lowest in professional Valorant. Most Valorant pros operate between 200 and 600 eDPI, but 326 is at the low end of that range, which is unusual for a duelist who relies heavily on fast reactive aim.

Why These Settings?

TenZ’s low eDPI of 326 is counterintuitive for a player known for fast, aggressive entries. Low eDPI favors large arm movements and precise tracking over small-wrist micro-adjustments. TenZ is known for using wide, sweeping mouse movements to track and flick — a style that becomes more consistent at lower eDPI because each pixel of cursor movement requires more physical mouse movement, reducing over-aiming.

His choice of 800 hardware DPI (rather than the more common 400 DPI) is paired with a very low in-game sensitivity (0.408) to achieve the same eDPI — this is a deliberate approach some players use to optimize sensor accuracy at slightly higher DPI values while still ending up with a low overall eDPI.

Playing at 1920×1080 (native resolution, no stretch) is also more common in Valorant than in CS2, where stretched resolutions are the norm.
